So we are now on the year 2010. We have just passed the previous year full of accomplishments that HL-88 normally does yearly. The biggest of them all were the Lodge Outing, PM’s & Ladies Night, & Christmas Party. These were all done with a big bang and as on the previous many years were all free to the Hiramites and their families. The write-up of its individual performance, you already read in this NL. You by now have already written up your new years’ 2010 resolution. Start performing and doing what are on it! Always practice the principle of “Plan your work and work your plan and that the early bird gets the worms”. This is the only means to achieve whatever your target this year. Come on, Do it Hiram!! HL-88 CHARITY WORK AS LED LODGE OF DIST. NCR-D: HL-88 had performed the Charity Work as the led Lodge of Dist. NCR-D in compliance to the program of the MW GM Peter Lim Lo Soy for the month of December. It was done at the San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Aged in Pasay City. The Charity work was very well done. The Nuns Superior started to guide us touring their facilities to a very big, clean, and well furnished Home for the Aged complete with all facilities, and tenants staying on comfortable rooms comparable to a Hotel. Those who came were WM Ringo Puno, SW Julito Sioson, JW Jonathan Galang, Sec. Julio M. Cabali, JD Plutarco Bawagan, Jr., Bros.: Delfin Torres, Jr., Ermelito De los Santos, Randell Reyes, Victor Tribiana and wife, Giovanni Mata, Charleson Tan, Rino Romero, Ric Lumbre, Jr. and Petitioner Fortunato Sioson. There was nobody came from other NCR-D Lodges perhaps because of the previous MM Multi-District Convention the previous day. The group joined the aged tenants on their lunch after which a short program followed. The Nuns In-Charge expressed their thanks for the lunch and gifts distributed to everyone of the 42 old people, followed by songs from some Oldies and lastly the response by Sec. Julio Cabali. The program was finished by 12 noon and the group went home happy. HL-88 CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: Again the HL-88 Brethren and Families had its Christmas Program last Dec. 13, 2009 at the SRT Masonic Heroes Hall which seems now already too small a venue for the ever growing numbers of attendees. Yes the HL-families grow up in number that next year needs a bigger venue for the same party. It started at 2:00PM and ended 10PM. All the Hiramites remained standing while sipping beers as they have no more seats having occupied by the Ladies and Children. The Food was superb super-imposed by pork barbeques and roast pig (lechon); drinks was flooding but controlled by the dikes prepared by the heavily thirst Brethren for the occasion. There was lot of games prepared by Ladies, and the raffle prizes that cost the Lodge 57T. The happiness of the Children and Teen Agers were completed upon the arrival of the HL-88 yearly Santa Claus WB Rolando FYL Chan, PM & Sis. Lily who gifted all of them with Cash. Of course the other Rolando, WB R. M. Chua and Sis. Mary Ann were just behind who gifted everyone of the Calendars and Candies, but WB Juan C. Go was never late for gifting everyone of cookies that made all the distribution so merry for everyone young and old. We congratulate the winners of the main prizes, a cell phone, a refrigerator, washing machine, and a TV with DVD player. They are so lucky that they were all happy to go home. The other 50 Members were also recipient of 50 minor prizes. How happy everyone was. Brethren we’ll have a repeat of this event next year. NEW SET OF OFFICERS ELECTED: On our SM of December 4, 2009, the election was held for the new set of Officers. Those elected were Bros.: Julito G. Sioson, Jonathan T. Galang, & Plutarco B. Bawagan, Jr. for WM, SW, and JW respectively. The election was all decided in the first balloting showing solidarity among the brethren. The Treasurer, Secretary, and Auditor were re-elected again as is, showing the brethren has full trust and confidence in them after this so many years. The appointed Officers will be assigned by the 3 Lights on their several places. They will all be informed in due time. NEXT INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS The next installation will be on January 23, 2009, our 86th years’ Chartered Day. It will be on a Saturday at 4PM at the Scottish Rite Temple. All Hiramites must attend this memorable day of our 86th year of Chartering since we got that number 88. Hiramites should bring their better-half. Attire for this installation as we often had before will be Dark Coat and Tie; the Ladies in their Party Dress; no pants please. The elected and appointed Officers must wait for the text summons by the WM elect for the Installation practice. Keep ready please. OUR LODGE’S WORKINGS: We may be able to have a 2nd degree working for Bro. Vincent See and Rodolfo Panganiban, II. Kindly check your assignments in the Working portion of this NL. This will depend if our schedule will allow. Any proficiency may also take place. NEXT STATED MEETING: As the 1st Friday is January 1, the WM deem it proper that we meet on the 2nd Friday that is 8 January 2010 at the SR Temple. The GL Stafford and Palma Halls are occupied on the 2nd Friday for which reason we will hold our SM at the SRT. Please mark these changes in your calendars. We’ll ask dispensation from the Dist.
