SECRETARY’S  NOVEMBER 2009 MESSAGE

Hello Hiramites! I hope every Hiramites’ family are all well and safe from the wrath of the last typhoon “Ondoy”, the super-typhoon in more than twenty years. We saw the suffering and miseries of the people in Metro-Manila especially those who lives in the low level areas. Even the neighboring provinces did not escape the wrath of nature. They were flooded, their homes destroyed, cars and real properties submerged in water that many families left their homes carrying nothing except the clothes they were wearing just to save their lives. The people now felt the response of nature against their extravagance thrashes of the same against environment, thus creating the climate change which developed the low pressure in the high seas. This low pressure formed the heavy typhoons carrying with it the un-surmounted rainfall, that overflow the rivers devastating men to their greatest suffering and to many even their lives claimed by nature.

PMs & LADIES’ NIGHT: The PMs and Ladies Night date is now move forward to November 7 at 6PM. The same Venue: Makati Sports Club. Attire: Black or Dark Coat and Tie for Hiramites and Lady Party Dress for Ladies. Start at 6PM and Dinner by 8PM; let us make it American Time; or HL-88 Masonic Time. OK?

GOLF TOURNAMENT: Date: Still Nov. 14, 2009, Venue: Intramuros Golf  Course, Tee Off time: 8AM. Let us support this project as this Tournament is also dedicated In Honor of the MW Reynato S. Puno, PGM and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.  Come and Join us, Hiramite!

No excuses for absentees as this again like the former many PM’s Night will be free to all Hiramites and their families. The Ladies again will be In-Charge for the Children’s entertainment. Thanks.

ON OUR LAST OCT. 9TH SM:  On our last SM, we have raised to the sublime degree of MM Bro. Richard Paul B. Nahe.  He is happy for this accommodation as he already left 2 days later for Abu Dubai where he is presently based. Bro. Richard you will be the reflection of our Craft in that country and we hope you remember the Charge the Lodge gave you. Maintain the good human relation with your co-office mates.  To your inferior in rank or office, you are to recommend obedience and submission; to your equals-courtesy and affability; and to your superiors, kindness and condescension.

HL-88 FELLOWSHIPS:  The fellowships after was again at the Uno Restaurant in Escolta. Even the evening was already late, the brethren was still able to have a good fellowships with the sumptuous dinner. Bro. Nahe was thankful for his raising and promised to become a good Member.

DECEMBER 2009 CHARITY WORK: The MW GM program is for every Masonic District to perform a Charity work this coming December. VW Larry Reyes designated Hiram Lodge No. 88 to be the lead lodge of Dist. NCR-D in compliance to this order. Our lodge deputized Bro. Jonathan T. Galang, to make arrangement to select the venue and type of Charity work we will do come December. Right now Bro. JW Galang had already pinpointed one home for the aged in Pasay City. He is now working on the program to be submitted next Gencom for approval  and implementation next December 2009.  All Hiramites are again required to assist and be visible on this particular lodge project.

LODGE’S NOV. 09 DEG WORKING - 2°:  The cancelled 2nd degree working last SM will be done  this Nov. 2009 SM. For those assigned participating Hiramites in this Passing, please see your name in the working assignment of this NL. Be sure to deliver your part by memory and in an ordinary relax manner. You can do it Hiram!      Other Members are obliged not only to witness but follow the conferral working in your monitor, and study the floor work and execution of parts, so that when you are assigned to perform you can do it right. Please do it!

In  HL-88, I will not compete anymore so that WB Fernando C. Nicolas, PDGL and JW Jonathan T. Galang will surely declared Winner (he he); so the two of them will just talk and decide who among them will represent HL-88 on Nov. 28/09 District Competition ( You 2, pls decide it now). If not, Hiramties can again join together in Fellowships during this convention in the so many Restaurant along the Macapagal Avenue.

OCT. 2009 NCR-D DISTRICT MEETING:  On this District Meeting, HL-88 was the Host who served the snacks.  Bro. JW J. Cabali, PM, WB Raymond W. Lee, PM, WB Mariano C. Lau, PM. Our delegates are well active in the topic’s deliberation; but especially WB Raymond W.             The NCR-District, the Designated Host in the 2009 MM Multi-District Convention can not do it by themselves and needs helps from other Districts. VW Larry Reyes, NCR-D’s DDGM took the Foods & Fellowships Committee and assigned it to Hiram Lodge No. 88. He however will give HL-88 personal assistance from other NCR-D Lodges.
